Kalamon Olives
One of the most well-known olive varieties is the kalam olives. It is a species that thrives in Greece and other parts of the Mediterranean. They have thin and elastic skin. They usually weigh 3 to 6 gr. Their color is dark brown violet and their taste is slightly fruity.
Green Olives
Green olives are a variety that thrives in Northern Greece. Their fruit usually weighs 6 to 10 gr. Their shape is asymmetrical oval. They are greenish yellow in color and their flesh is crunchy. Finally, they have a salty and slightly bitter taste.
They are an excellent appetizer either by themselves or as an ingredient in salads and various other Mediterranean recipes.
